Drivers & OS Compatibility

Zoweetek smart card readers are USB CCID devices that follow the PC/SC standard, so for standard use they plug and play with the operating system’s own smart card support on Windows, Linux and Android. Our Bluetooth transmitters and receivers need no driver; the DS600 DACs need one only for USB playback on Windows, as explained below. The notes below come from our product specifications; check your model’s product page for its exact list.

Notes from our product sheets

• Windows: Windows support includes WHQL-certified drivers; ZW-12026-10 is listed with Microsoft WHQL certification.
• macOS: if you use a reader on macOS, make sure you know how to install Java and the driver; Java is required on macOS for this.
• US DoD and government users: a third-party CAC launcher program is needed.
• SIM cards: reading SIM cards is supported on Windows only.
• Development: several models support multi-language secondary development, and we provide routines.

Check that your card reader is recognized

System	How to check
Windows	Open Device Manager and look under Smart card readers.
macOS	In Terminal, run system_profiler SPSmartCardsDataType.
Linux	Install pcscd, libccid and pcsc-tools (Debian and Ubuntu package names), then run pcsc_scan.

Bluetooth audio products

Transmitters and receivers pair over Bluetooth or connect by cable and need no driver. The B10 USB Bluetooth transmitter is plug and play on Windows XP / Vista / 7 / 8 / 10, Linux and macOS, and also works with PS4.

DS600 and DS600+ USB DACs

The DS600 and DS600+ play from a computer over USB at up to PCM 32-bit / 768 kHz and DSD512.

• Windows 7 / 8 / 10 / 11: download “DS600 driver” (a RAR archive) from the Product Drivers section of the 1Mii DS600 page and install it, then use a recommended player (JRiver or Foobar2000) and set the parameters in it.
• Mac: no driver is needed.
